As 2024 begins, we here at Realtime Robotics wanted to take a moment to thank every one of our employees, partners, customers, investors, and anyone else that helped contribute to a successful year that was. Like any technology company today, we experienced our ups and downs this past year, but we’re excited about what we’ve accomplished – and about the promise of the new year.

But first, a few brief highlights from 2023:

  • To start us off, this past June we announced that the company had secured an additional $9.5 million in funding from Shinhan GIB and Kyobo Life Insurance. The industrial manufacturing industry has had a strong response to our RapidPlan robotics motion control and collision avoidance software – and this funding reflected that increasing demand. Because programming and integration can account for up to 50-70% of the cost of a robot application, innovative approaches to automation and robotics – such as RapidPlan – are needed to help manufacturers reduce these costs.
  • Speaking of RapidPlan, this year Realtime Robotics was also named an official supplier for BMW Group, who used our technology to speed robot programming time, autonomously generating collision-free robot movements. Automotive product and solution supplier The Schaeffler Group also signed on to use RapidPlan to improve throughput and robot cell automation in a multi-robot bin-picking application.
  • Later in the year we saw another milestone for Realtime Robotics – the launch of our Optimization-as-a-Service product. This solution uses a combination of proprietary software and our team’s experienced robotics and application engineering insights to improve the productivity of a manufacturer’s workcells. The solution has already proven to be very popular in the industry, with Volkswagen signing on as early adopter and HLS as an integration partner. Watch this space for more news on that front!

We’re all looking forward to a bright 2024, as we continue to expand our optimization solution throughout the industry, and look at other similar ways we can use our robotics expertise and proprietary software to shave time off of programming robots and manufacturing products.

So, once again, thanks to all for a wonderful 2023 – and here’s to our collective success in 2024 – Cheers!
