Title: HR and Office Operations Manager

HR Responsibilities

  • On-board new hires, develop and administer HR documents and forms
  • Provide day-to-day benefits administration: claim issues, benefits training, workers comp claims, etc.
  • Administer payroll
  • Lead recruiting activities: write and place job advertisements; work with team to screen and interview candidates; conduct background checking; write job offer letters; conduct new employee orientation; conduct exit interviews
  • Manage conflicts with a positive and forward-thinking approach
  • Provide oversight of HR information system records
  • Protect interests of employees and Realtime by understanding and complying with state, federal, and city laws, including EEO, ADA, FMLA, ERISA, DOL, and OSHA
  • Research the effectiveness of Realtime’s HR programs and propose/ develop improvements across policies, programs and procedures
  • Advise executive team of regulations, labor market conditions, benefits programs, etc.

Office Operations Responsibilities

  • Oversee and maintain the office, which includes office cleanliness and upkeep, mail and package deliveries, and inventory management (ensuring that food, drinks, and office supplies are fully stocked)
  • Coordinate visits from customers and hiring candidates
  • Manage vendor relationships, including food, drinks, office supplies, IT, and building management
  • Ensure both new and existing employees have the resources that they need to be successful
  • Plan company events, happy hours, and outings
  • Work on ad hoc special projects
  • Constantly reevaluate and implement new strategies and plans to make the office environment a more comfortable and effective place to work

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years experience in a human resources supervisory position or 5+ years in an HR generalist role with broad exposure to multiple areas of specialization
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential preferred
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and county employment laws, policies, and practices
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Collaborative leader, a strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexible and able to wear many hats
  • Highly organized with attention to detail
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-changing environment
