Software Engineering Intern

We’re changing how machines move through unstructured environments – whether on the factory floor or in simulation. Built on next-generation computer processing and state-of-the-art software algorithms, our collision-free motion planning solutions make it possible for robots and other machines to instantly react to their environments and compute how and where to move as their situation is changing. We’re revolutionizing manufacturing by enabling close collaboration between robots and their surroundings, regardless of the robot brand. We are looking for an intern to join our Robot Control Team, adding new features to control an ever-expanding list of robots that our software can control.

In this position, you will:

  • Develop software that communicates with different industrial robots over a variety of protocols

  • Work with robot manufacturers to troubleshoot issues with robot performance and stability

  • Support field engineers to solve customer's automation challenges using Realtime's technology

  • Work in an Agile framework

  • Document design work

  • Help design and test new features for an exciting, fast-moving technology company!

The position could be a great match if you have:

  • Experience working in Linux environments

  • Socket/Network programming courses/knowledge a plus

  • Robot-specific knowledge/experience/courses a plus, but not required

  • Strong written communication skills

  • Some familiarity with Agile / Scrum

  • Desire to work in a fast-paced startup environment and an interest in robotics!

  • Progressing towards a BS / MSc in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Robotics, or a related field
