Robotics Software Engineer

Reporting to the Director of Robotics Engineering, the Robotics Software Engineer will be responsible for developing and refining interfaces with various robot manufacturers. This will include direct and indirect communications with industrial robot manufacturers and technical experts. In this position, you will:

  • Develop software that communicates with different industrial robots over a variety of protocols

  • Work with robot manufacturers to troubleshoot issues with robot performance and stability

  • Support field engineers to solve customer's automation challenges using Realtime's technology

  • Help determine the needed features and development for an exciting, fast-moving technology company!

The position could be a great match if you have:

  • Strong software engineering habits

  • Experience working in linux environments

  • Socket/Network pogramming and troubleshooting a plus

  • Experience with realtime operating systems (RTOS) a plus

  • Robot-specific knowledge/experience a plus, but not required

  • Desire to work in a fast-paced startup environment

  • BS / MSc in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics or a related field
