Robotics Control Engineer

Reporting to the Director of Robotics Engineering, the Research and Development Robotics Software Engineer will be responsible for leveraging and applying their technical and theoretical knowledge to extend our core technology capabilities. In this position, you will:

  • Collaborate with developers, fellow engineers, project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to understand the requirements and scope of the robotics project.

  • Design, program, test, and debug software for robots and robotic systems.

  • Install, operate, and calibrate robots.

  • Develop software for robotics control.

  • Develop novel controllers for multi-robot.

  • Develop planning algorithms for safe operations.

  • Incorporate customer requirements into robotics system design.

Desired qualifications:

  • BS/MS/Ph.D in computer science, electrical engineering, robotics or related field.

  • Thorough understanding of robot kinematics, dynamics and control.

  • Proficient in C++ (C++11, C++14, C++17, etc.) with experience writing libraries.

  • Experience with ROS2.

  • Solid understanding of algorithms and data structures.

  • Familiar with large-scale scalable software architectures.

  • Strong math, physics (kinematics, dynamics), and analytical skills.

  • Deep understanding of modern robotics and state estimation techniques preferred.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
