Applications Engineer, Customer Support Team

We are searching for an Applications Engineer. As an Applications Engineer at Realtime Robotics, you will support our rapidly growing list of customers spanning multiple industries by assisting with the implementation and application of our industrial technology.

In this Boston-based, remote, or hybrid position, you will:

  • Directly support efforts related to Realtime’s European business. Working directly with robot OEM’s, SI’s, Distributors, and end-users

  • Troubleshoot technical issues and address operational issues by collaborating with commercial, operations, and technical teams within Realtime Robotics

  • Advocate on behalf of European customers within Realtime and ensure their technical needs and requests are understood throughout Realtime Robotics

  • Develop strong partnerships by providing pre and post-sales technical support via customer presentations, application development, training, and remote/on-site support to customers and partners

  • Conceptualize and construct product demonstrations and proof-of-concepts for field applications with a focus on the following:

    • Showcasing Realtime’s technology in value-add industrial robot and cobot application and tasks

    • Integration of robots, sensors, and industrial vision systems

The position could be a great match if you have:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or higher in mechatronics, engineering, or related technical field

  • Passion for supporting and interacting with customers

  • Experience working with industrial robotics and peripheral automation equipment

  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Functional knowledge of programming PLC’s and/or high-level programming languages Python/C++

  • Strong knowledge of industrial automation and its role in logistics industries

  • Desire to work in a fast-paced startup environment
